Death Valley Itinerary (Day Two)

8:00 AM - Start your day early by driving to Rhyolite Ghost Town, located about 25 miles from Tarantula Ranch. It should take approximately 35-40 minutes to get there. Rhyolite is a well-preserved ghost town with a lot of history and unique art installations. Spend around an hour exploring the town.

9:45 AM - Drive about 30 minutes to reach Titus Canyon. The entrance to the canyon is about 24 miles away from Rhyolite Ghost Town. This is a scenic drive with breathtaking views and interesting rock formations. Take your time to enjoy the drive and make stops along the way to take photos. You can also hike a short distance into the canyon for some additional sightseeing.

1:00 AM - From Titus Canyon, drive for about 40 minutes (26 miles) to reach Mesquite Dunes. These dunes are known for their beautiful sunsets, but they are equally stunning in the morning light. Hike up to the top of the dunes for a great view of the surrounding desert. Be sure to bring plenty of water and sun protection, as it can get very hot during the day.

2:30 PM - After spending a couple of hours at the dunes, drive for about 20 minutes (13 miles) to reach Stovepipe Wells Village. Here, you can grab lunch at one of the restaurants or cafes. The village also has a gas station, general store, swimming pool, and other amenities you might need.

3:30 PM - Drive for approximately 15 minutes to reach the Mosaic Canyon trailhead. This is a great place to stretch your legs and take a short hike through the scenic canyon. The hike has optional scrambling after 1-mile.
