Camping and glamping at Tarantula Ranch outside of Death Valley National Park, can be a unique and unforgettable experience, but the weather can play a significant role in how enjoyable your stay will be. Spring (March-May)

Spring is a popular time to visit the desert, with mild temperatures and plenty of sunshine. The average temperature in March is around 60°F (15°C), with temperatures gradually increasing throughout the season. By May, the average temperature can reach 80°F (27°C) during the day, with nighttime temperatures dropping to around 50°F (10°C). Keep in mind that springtime weather can be unpredictable, with occasional windy or rainy days.

As the sun gets stronger during the spring months, it's important to remember to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated. Pack light layers for the cooler mornings and evenings, and bring a hat and sunglasses for the sunny afternoons.

Winter in Amargosa Valley is the coldest but still a popular season for camping and especially glamping. The average temperature in December is around 45°F (7°C), with temperatures occasionally dropping below freezing at night. January and February are the coldest months, with daytime temperatures hovering around 55°F (13°C) and nighttime temperatures dropping to around 30°F (-1°C).

Winter weather can be extreme, with occasional snow and windstorms. Dressing in warm layers, including a heavy coat, gloves, and a hat, is essential for staying comfortable during your stay.
